The promos of ‘Lafangey Parindey’ are attracting one and all; not only for its title, but also for its lead pair which is fresh. The film revolves around One-shot Nandu (Neil Nitin Mukesh) a tough street fighter, who has to teach a blind Pinky Palkar (Deepika Padukone) to ‘see’. Shot in the bustling backstreets of Mumbai, Yash Raj Films has yet again attempted to divulge from the usual.

Talking about her role, Deepika stated that somewhere she was able to relate to the character Pinky and so it was not that difficult to play the role. On playing a skater in the film, the actress said that it took nearly six months to master the sport. Being an athlete and having learnt Bharathnatyam as a child had proved to be a great use to play the part, said Deepika.

Recalling her shooting experience, Deepika shared that once they had a bad time shooting. It was when they had to shoot the training sequences, where Neil teaches Deepika to dodge bag full of fishes. The actress said that director Pradeep Sarkar didn’t want to use props or other stuff, instead he was keen to shoot with real stuff. She remembers they had to hurry up the shoot, because the fishes were rotting fast and the smell was getting really bad.
