It's raining comedies at the box office, with "Deewane Huye Paagal" being the latest laugh riot set to release Friday.

The makers of "Hera Pheri", "Awara Paagal Deewana" and "Aan - Men At Work" have designed this comic flick to elicit laughter from the audience. So far it has been a lucky year for comic capers and going by the film's promo, this light-hearted romantic-drama may succeed in amusing.

When the film was launched it was expected to be a sequel to "Awara Paagal Deewana". It begins as a sweet romance between boy-next-door Karan (Shahid Kapur) and Tanya (Rimi Sen).

Tanya, who knows some secret and is being watched by two evil men, migrates to Dubai without informing Karan. He is heart broken but his friend coaxes him to track her down.

So he takes the help of a handsome investigator, Rocky (Akshay Kumar) to chase her down. But Rocky ends up falling in love with her at first sight. Meanwhile, Tanya's physically disabled friend, Sanju (Suniel Shetty), also has a soft corner for her and tries to stop Rocky.

The story takes an interesting turn when another guy falls in love with Tanya, thus setting up a hilarious love drama.

Firoz Nadiadwala has produced the film and Vikram Bhatt has wielded the megaphone for this comedy. It repeats the cast of Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal who had starred in the original.

Anu Malik has scored the music. This non-stop laugh riot was shot in the picturesque locales of the US and Dubai.

Brace yourself, as the team of "Awara Paagal Deewana" is ready to tickle your funny bone.
