Dan Dan Cheeni Shoot Mix: Listen here The album begins with Paroma P. Dasgupta's song Dan Dan Cheeni Shoot Mix an item song which sounds very monotonous. The song is fast paced and is packed with lyrics such as Dan Dan Dhain Dhain. Paroma has tried to imbibe the song with a lot of raunchiness supported by Ravi and Sandeep Patil. Though the song has a high level energy it is not worth remembering. The song sounds like any other item number. Too mundane for the ears. Kammo: Listen here Next is Kammo sung by Mika and Sudesh Bhosale. There are lot of Punjabi beats in this song and is truly fit for Mika's voice. It is the only song with a romantic element in the entire album. Mika and Sudesh Bhosle come together for this Bhangra Pop number which is very unexpected and comes as a surprise in a Varma's flick. Mika is as usual high spirited but the surprise element is Sudesh Bhosle, who makes his entry towards the end of the track. Quite obviously this song will register Bachchan's grand entry on screen. It brings back memories of the famous Sona Sona and Jumma Chumma numbers. It's a peppy dance number and will be a hit on the dance floors. Theme Of Department: Listen here Next in the album is The Theme of Department. Sung by Sandeep Patil, the song however is plot based music but not worthy of mention. The song has a lot of grunge-rock influences. More than the vocals, the focus is on the variety of beats. There is a lot happening in the track and too much of fusion so it takes it's own time to register in your minds. Bad Boys: Listen here It sounds more or less like Akon's chammak challo number, with the same kind of beats. Ritu Patnaik and Earl have tried their best to make it sound different however Vikram Nagi's music is not very innovative nor are Sandip Singh's lyrics. The song has a lot of helicopter and siren sounds followed by gun shots and explosions. Ritu and Earl sound energetic throughout the song and have pepped it up with their husky tones. Mumbai Police: Listen here Sanjay Dutt does a rap in this song. It adds to the theme and the backdrop of the film and reminds you of the guns and chases. This is the highlight of the alum. Sanjay as usual has done justice to the song accompanied by Farhad Bhiwandiwalla and will definitely have a repeat value. A typical thriller kind of song with it's punches, sirens and guns shots. Very much favourable to a Ram Gopal Varma film and does all justice to the title of the film. Overall: The album is not very innovative nor are the songs unlike other RGV films. The music is loud and there's too much of heavy metal. The energy is high and may blend in with the film's topic but is too heavy on the ears. |
