After the grand success of ‘Naadodigal’, many producers offered director Samuthirakani to remake the film in Hindi, Telugu and Kannada. We had it earlier that Samuthirakani is holding a discussion with the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ star Dev Patel to play the lead role in Hindi.

Now we hear that the director invited the actor for the preview show of ‘Naadodigal’ in Mumbai. Sources say that Dev Patel was impressed with the film and praised the director over the phone. So the director is expecting a positive answer before long.

A source close to Samuthirakani confirms that Dev Patel might don the role of Vasanth Vijay in the original version, as he has got that all-time neat look. It’s also said that the heroine choice will also be like that of Tamil version- a heroine with a girl next door look. We suggest that Samuthirakani take the help of his pal Sasikumar in the process of selecting the heroines for Hindi version. For we know that Sasikumar picks only laddu like girls as the heroines!
