Though ‘Yogi’ is directed by Subramaniyam Siva, the brain behind the film is its hero-cum-scriptwriter Ameer. It is said that his friends advised him to do something about the film’s release as ‘Vettaikkaran’ will also be out by the same time, however Ameer remained strong in his decision.

We have got to hear that Ameer’s childhood screen dad is the actor-turned-director’s friend, film journalist Devaraj of Dhinakaran. We must have noticed this gentleman in Ameer’s ‘Ram’ as the hostel warden in one scene. “I saw Devaraj in the year 2007 during the audio launch of ‘Sivi’. My instinct told me that he can shine as a good character artist. I am very happy that I was able to give a talented actor to the industry. Devaraj is someone who can give out the natural feel in his acting,” said Ameer.

Looks like the budding actor has a great support from his friends circle for both his interest (reporting and acting). Now we hear that Devaraj is invited to perform a role in ‘Therodum Veedhiyiley’ by Bala’s one time associate, Saravanan.
