After 'Thangamagan' Dhanush is presently acting in 'Kodi' directed by Durai Senthilkumar of 'Ethineechal' and 'Kaakki Sattai' fame. Dhanush plays the dual roles as brothers, for the first time in this film which is touted to be a political thriller.

As we had reported earlier the elder Dhanush plays a politician in the film. Recently a scene in which Dhanush sporting thick beard and clad in the typical politician attire of white shirt and veshti, addresses a gathering in a street-corner political meeting, was shot.

The shooting of the film produced by Dhanush under his Wunderbar films banner started a couple of weeks ago. Trisha who plays a character with negative shades as the wife of elder Dhanush has joined the shooting. Shamli who plays the pair of younger Dhanush is yet to start shooting for the film. Senior director and Vijay's father S.A.Chandrasekar acts as Dhanush's father in the film while Sathish and Kaali Venkat are acting in important supporting character. Santosh Narayanan is taking care of the music.
