Is Dhanush playing Karthick or Prabhu?

The 1998 Manirathnam classic Agni Natchathiram` is being remade in Hindi by Bejoy Nambiar who directed the Vikram-Jiiva starrer David`. The film was originally planned to have Vicky Kaushal and Harshvardhan Rane as the heroes.

Now comes the news that Vicky Kaushal has walked out of the film, citing date issues as filming is scheduled for August to October in Mumbai. It is reported that Bejoy is in talks with Dhanush to star in the as yet untitled film for which he has said to have given the nod. It is however not clear if Dhanush is playing the role of Ashok played famously by Karthick or Gautham played to perfection by Prabhu in Agni Natchathiram`. Official confirmation is awaited.
