Dhanush off to Benaras for Raanjhnaa

Dhanush has left to Benaras for a 40 day schedule for the shoot of his Bollywood debut, Raanjhnaa that sees him as Kundan, a Hindi Brahmin.

Raanjhnaa helmed by Aanand L Rai of Tanu Weds Manu fame, sees Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles and sees the latter as a student. It’s touted to be a close to reality sort of entertainer and Dhanush has learned Hindi for the film.

He has already completed work on Mariyaan and the hush-hush shoot took place in Bhuj and Africa and has music by AR Rahman. As the post-production work on the Bharath Bala film, Mariyaan, has kick-started he has resumed work on his Bollywood debut, Raanjhnaa.
