As we all know, actor Dhanush is presently busy shooting for his directorial debut 'Power Paandi' which will have Rajkiran in the lead role.

Dhanush has now announced that the film will be hitting the screens on April 14,2017 for Tamil New Year festival. The day is auspicious for Dhanush for another reason. It is also the birthday of his mother Vijayalakshmi.

'Power Paandi' is the film on lives and struggles of Stuntmen working in film industry. Dhanush plays younger Rajkiran in the film. Madonna Sebastian plays Dhanush's pair. The other cast members include Prasanna, Nadiya, Chaaya Singh, Delhi Ganesh, Robo Shankar, Vidyullekha Raman and many others.

Sean Roldon has rendered the music score while Velraj is handling the cinematography.
