Did Kochadiiyaan violate the Censor Board rules?

Much to the delight of the Producers as well all connected with the film's business and also the millions of fans, Superstar Rajnikanth’s upcoming film Kocahdiiyaan was certified with a clean ‘U’ certificate on March 19. But India’s first Performance Capture Photo Realistic film came under the scanner of Censor board for doubts on violating the board’s rules.

As per the rules of Censor Board, a film which is incomplete should not be submitted for certification. Also no change can be made to the film which has already been certified. Since there were reports suggesting that works are being done by the sound department of the magnum opus grabbed the attention of the Censor Board and they were preparing to send a notice to the makers of the film. However no notice was sent since the board dropped the plans to take any action against the film since they understood that the works being carried on presently is regarding the 3D effects and Hindi versions.

A member of the board while speaking to a leading national daily has stated that, they did come across reports that works are being carried on for the film. They made some enquiries and learnt that the work is being done only on 3D and Hindi version of the film. As of now Censor board has certified only the 2D version of the film and 3D version will be censored separately on a later date.

Team Kochadiiyaan headed by the debutante director Soundarya Rajnikanth Ashwin are fully aware of Censor board rules and there is no question of violating them.
