Much anticipated and announced presence of the newlywed couple Dileep – Kavya in the function to honor Adoor Gopalkrishanan at IFFK – 2016 didn`t happen. The function went on as scheduled, but the couple was missing.

The event was organized to celebrate Adoor Gopalakrishnan`s 50 years in the industry. In Adoor`s last outing, the couple acted the lead roles, and the film got wide publicity because of the alleged affairs of the couple and the news that they are going to get married soon. Dileep didn`t attend the function because he was busy with the shoot of the film Ramleela` which is helmed by Arun Gopy.
