We all know Hari films usually portray the role of a cop in a major character and now we know why. In the recent press meet for his upcoming Vishal and Shruti Haasan starrer 'Poojai', Hari said that he wanted to be a sub inspector when he was younger.

“If you`ve seen Ayya, which is not an action-oriented movie, there`s Prakash Raj who brings in the torture` element. Scripts demand action, and finally, the film is made keeping the audience in mind. And as far as they are concerned, they love all genres. I love action. And that`s why I love police roles. The police uniform has so much value. That`s the power of police. Even I wanted to become a sub-inspector before I turned my attention to the films,” said Hari.

'Poojai' is ready for a Deepavali release and about that, Hari said, "Poojai is a family entertainer. There are fight sequences. Overall, it`s a romantic action flick. Shruthi Haasan has done a great job and Vishal, as always, has been perfect. My next film is with Suriya, but we haven`t decided yet whether it`s going to be a sequel to the Singham series. Right now, I am focused on promoting Poojai,” he added.

"When my first film Thamizh had released, I had no idea that I would get so much support from the media. Even though the film wasn`t a hit, I think I got enough attention a budding director must get,” ended Hari.
