Noted director Ramana's mother Ramani Ammal (65) passed away due to cardiac arrest in Chennai on Tuesday.

Ramana had directed movies including Vijay starrers Thirumalai and Aathi and Dhanush's Sullan. Ramani Ammal breathed her last at a private hospital in Chennai on Tuesday after she was rushed for sudden cardiac arrest.

Several film personalities expressed their grief to Ramana for his loss.
