Directed by Karthick Naren, '16-Every Detail Counts' is the dubbed version of a hit Tamil crime thriller. The film was released on March 10 and the same has come in for immense appreciation from the Telugu Director's Union.

At a press meet attended by Chadalavada Srinivas, Raj Kandukuri, Lakshman, Vinod, Karthick Naren, KS Nageswara Rao, Kishore Reddy, Anji Srinu, Darling Swamy and T Prasanna Kumar, the makers were given a thumbs-up.

Producer Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao said, “Initially, we didn`t get many theaters to release the film. We released it in a single theater as we believed in the concept. Fortunately, the film is running with houseful collections. Till date, the film has collected Rs. 2 Cr".

Lakshman said, “The success of 'Bichagadu' proved that concept-based films always click at box office. Now, '16' has also demonstrated the same. Karthick Naren has become an inspiration for many upcoming directors. For straight Telugu films, the estimated budget will be around 10-15 Cr. If the concept is good and worth it, we can invest. If not, the investment will be futile. I request Telugu directors to make concept-based films within a budget of Rs. 1-2 Cr so that Telugu audience will encourage them".

The film's director expressed happiness over the fact that a film made on a small budget with small-time artistes and technicians has gone on to become a big hit.
