Filmmaker Selvan has decided to go on an indefinite fast until producers of his movie 'Krishna Leelai' give him a proper reason for delaying the post-production and release of the Jeevan-starrer.

In a letter to producers of the film Kavithalaya, Selvan stated that for no reason his film has been put on hold. Over 90 per cent of the shoot has been completed and his repeated request to start the post- production works had fallen on deaf ears.

"In March 2009, my producers asked me to stop work on post-production for a week as Karunamoorthy's banner (Ayngaran), which bought the film on first-copy basis, had apparently not settled the amount. After that, I wasn't given any indication about when to restart work. Till now, the film is lying in the cans and my life is in ruins," he said.

"I have been running from pillar to post to get the movie released. But to no avail. My career is at stake now and every actor or producer I approach to do a movie next have turned me down citing non-release of Krishna Leelai," he added.

Selvan also said the movie dealt with current issues and the climax is about implementing Samacheer Kalvi (uniform education) in schools.
