In the recent press meet, the makers of actor Suriya's 'Si3' asserted that the third part of the blockbuster 'Singam' series will easily touch the Rs.200 crores collection mark.

While speaking exclusively to IndiaGlitz, Shakthivelan of Dream Factory banner which has acquired the distribution rights of the mega budget action entertainer explains how this will happen and what makes him so confident about the film's success. He also explains how Suriya is second only to Superstar Rajinikanth among Tamil heroes, as far as market prospects of their films are concerned.

"Films like 'Yennai Arindhaal', 'Aneghan' and 'Kakki Sattai' released in February in recent years have had extraordinary opening. Based on content, collections will vary. As far as 'Si3' is concerned the content is huge. Its a content that will definitely fetch great revenue. All the films of Suriya with director Hari have been successful so far. 'Si3' will be the best from the duo. "

Speaking about the business of the film, Shakthivelan said, "The business of 'Si3' has already crossed over Rs.125 crores. The film's collection touching 200 crore is a easy possibility.

I am telling this confidently because Suriya sir commands a very big market in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. Telugu market adds minimum Rs.50 crores in the overall collections of his films. The market value for his films in Tamil Nadu will be a few crores lesser or higher than the films of a few other heroes;but if we add the Telugu market share, Suriya sir is definitely the next after Superstar Rajinikanth in terms of overall business (collections). I can prove this statistically."

'Si3' starring Suriya, Anushka and Shruti Haasan in lead roles is scheduled to hit the screens on February 9, 2017. The advance bookings for tickets is expected to start in a day or two.
