Diya, one of the very few actresses to switch from glamour to homely roles, is hoping to establish herself in Kollywood firmly.
Though her earlier films like Dreams that featured her in glamour roles did not do well, she was keen to bounce back. Thankfully Kodambakkam happened. She played a normal middle-class girl in the movie. Though the movie could not rake in moolah, her performance was highly appreciated.
Now she has offers coming her way with a couple in Tamil and a movie in Malayalam too.
Says Diya, ÂI am acting with Telugu star Uday Kiran for a Tamil movie titled Vambu Sandai and also a movie opposite a new comer which is called Seven.Â
ÂIn both the movies I play a meaty role. Patience and perseverance pays. Hence I decided to wait for the right opportunity. With a couple coming my way, I am keen not miss them this timeÂ.
