Activists of the Desiya Dravida Murpokku Kazhagam (DMDK) are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the smooth release of their leader Vijayakanth’s ‘Virudhagiri’ tomorrow and plan to celebrate it like a festival.

According to sources in the party, grand arrangements are being made all over Tamil Nadu in view of the film’s release. “It is going to be a festival of sorts in front of theatres screening Virudhagiri,” they say.

Explaining the reason, the sources say, “after a long gap, our Captain’s film is getting released. Since the Assembly elections are round the corner, we will show our might on the day of the release.”

Directed by Vijayakanth himself, ‘Virudhagiri’ is produced by his brother-in-law L K Sudeesh, who happens to be the party’s youth wing president. “So it is double delight for us,” say young activists of the DMDK.
