From being called the new-age Khushboo to being given the award of 'Dream Girl of Kollywood', Hansika Motwani has had it all. If Kandireega and Oh My Friend did not fetch her accolades in 2011 (the limelight was hogged by Asha and Shruthi Hassan, respectively), she had a great year in Kollywood. Engeyum Kadhal (co-starred with Jayam Ravi as Lolita) and Velayudham (seen with Vijay as Vaidehi) were such big-time projects in Tamil.

"I'm in Singapore to attend the function. The association feels that I've had a good year (2011) in Kollywood and that I've managed to charm the audience. I'm very happy to be called Kollywood's 'dream girl," a happy Hansika has been quoted as saying.

In fact, she is all the more proud and excited because she was chosen for the award by a public voting. Hansika can’t ask for more at this juncture. She awaits two more big releases in Tamil. Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (Udayanidhi Stalin's acting debut) and Vettai Mannan (starring with Simbu).
