After creating much critical acclaim with a Hollywood rip off for his debut hit 'Cocktail', editor turned director Arun Kumar Aravind is getting ready with his new film titled as 'Ee Adutha Kaalathu'. Basically an adrenalin-inducing, roller coaster suspenseful flick, the movie is patterned like a jig saw puzzle, piecing together a complex puzzle. The movie features stories of six different persons from different strata of the social life of the city, interconnected due to unexpected events beyond their control. It is also the story of the city with a 1500 years heritage with thousands of stories to tell. Basically, 'Ee Adutha Kaalathu' tells about the links that joins Vishnu (Indrajith), Tom Cherian (Anoop Menon), Ajay Kurien (Murali Gopy), Remani (Mydhili), Madhuri Kurien (Tanushri), and Rustam (Nishan)..

The movie has Indrajith as Vishnu who makes a living by creating toys and other decorative items out of scrap. Speaking in the typical Thiruvananthapuram slang, Vishnu but manages to furnish everything for his wife, Remani and their two young daughters and his ailing mother. He is a guy who knows every nook and corner of the city and is also caught up in the troubles of everyday life.

Murali Gopi, the son of late actor Bharath Gopi, who is also credited with the scripts of the movie appear as Ajay Kurien , a urbane businessman with a very sophisticated nature who is also the managing director of a hospital while Bengali model and theatre actor Thanushree appears as Madhuri Kurien, Ajay's wife. She is a strong-willed character who is ambitious but also is very sensible and down-to-earth. Anoop Menon's Tom Cherian is a police commissioner, a tech savvy investigator with an attitude. Rithu fame Nishan is Rustum, a mysterious North Indian salesman, who is always into dubious deals. Nishan will be for the first time budding in his voice for a Mollywood film.Into the lives of these six enters Jagathy Sreekumar as the untrustworthy tabloid reporter Bonacaud Ramachandran and Rupa, the video jockey (Lena). Also in the cast are Suraj venjaramoodu, Manikantan, Dinesh, Mohan and Baiju.

The young director Arun who is also Priyadarshan's regular editor for the last 18 films, is in all praise for his scripts which is fast paced. Merging various genders, the movie will be also offered with high spaces of unpredictability for the viewer. Award winning young cinematographer Shehnad Jalal is in charge of camera.  Gopi Sundar composes the music, to lyrics by Rafeeq Ahmed.

'Ee Adutha Kaalathu' which will be completed with all its shooting schedules in the capital city, is being produced by Raju Malliyath under the banner of Ragam Movies.
