Eega under consideration for Oscar nomination

Eega is one of the 18 films that will be watched by a 16-member jury commissioned by the Film Federation of India, which will decide the one nomination to be sent to the covetous Oscar awards.

Competing with Eega are a film each from Kollywood, Mollywood and other regional industries. From Bollywood, there a bevy of films like Kahaani, Barffi, Heroine and Gangs Of Wasseypur.

Suresh Babu paid the mandatory entry fee of Rs. 50,000 to win the entry.

The films will be screened under the aegis of the SIFCC in Hyderabad from September 18 to September 26.
