Is this the best EVER phase for Big B. Movies are being written with him in the mind and he is working with directors of every age group, be it veteran Raj Kumar Santoshi or one film old Apoorva Lakhia. It would really have meant some confidence in a director whose last flick was a disastrous 'Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost' that gave his son a major flop in his years of struggle. Nevertheless, now it seems that Amitabh Bachchan would give a much required hit to Apoorva Lakhia in the form of Ek Ajnabee that looks promising from day one and has some rocking score by Amar Mohile. Tune in!

1) Ek Ajnabee (Mama Told Me) [Singers : Sukhwinder Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Vishal Dadlani, guest composers Vishal-Shekhar, lyrics : Vishal Dadlani]

You wanna rock'n'roll, then hop on to the title song 'Ek Ajnabee' that is sung by the person most suited for the job - Sunidhi Chauhan. A foot tapping song that features Arjun Rampal along with Hannah - yet another import from Czech after Yana Gupta - it makes for a good item number that is so very essential in today's times. The number has the crooning of a male voice [Vishal Dadlani] in the background that is so very similar to 'Hey Now Hey Now' that appeared at the beginning of 'Dus Bahane'. The song may mot reach the heights of 'Dus Bahane' but still manages to give a pulsating beginning to the album.

2) Barf Khushi Hai [Singer : Kailash Kher, lyrics : Jaideep Sahni]

From this song on it is Amar Mohile all the way and boy, doesn't he make a fine impression with his range of work. First to come is 'Barf Khushi Hai', a poignant number by Kailash Kher that is currently on air and features Amitabh Bachchan going through both physical pain and mental anguish. Inspite of Jaideep's lyrics been philosophical and word heavy, you get so immersed in their meaning that you don't realize the quick transition you have made from a racy title song to this extremely touching number. Kailash Kher excels once again and the number should make a big impact when it appears in the movie.

3) Tere Liye Meri Sanse [Singer : Kunal Ganjawala, lyrics : Sameer]

It's the turn of Kunal Ganjawala to turn sentimental with 'Tere Liye Meri Sanse'. A melodious track that would not fail to invoke the feeling of protectiveness for the ones you care most, it has Kunal Ganjawala (surprisingly!) singing in a restrained manner. And no, it is not a conventional romantic number between a boy and a girl but is instead shot for the character of Amitabh Bachchan who has only a little girl as his lifeline! The number appears twice and you continue to enjoy it every time it is played on.

4) They Don't Know (Original and 'Blast U Between UR Eyes remix') [Singers : Kunal Ganjawala & Joy, lyrics : Lalit Tiwari]

After some poignant moments and flow of emotions in the prior songs comes the rocking track 'They Don't Know'. The song marks the special appearance of Sanjay Dutt who lip-syncs to Kunal Ganjawala's rap with Joy crooning the most happening words 'They Don't Know' ! If one hears this Lalit Tiwari written number, it actually has quite a dark feel to it and aims at exposing the evils in the world around you. The number has a thumping effect and haunts you long after it is over. But the beauty of the song lies in the fact that inspite of its theme, you still want to hear it over and over again due to 2 main reasons - rhythm and the words 'They Don't Know' that keep coming every few seconds. Even more rocking is the remix version 'Blast U Between UR Eyes', that is literally as its title - BLASTING!

5) Soniye (Original and Mix N Match remix) [Singers : Kay Kay, Sunidhi Chauhan, lyrics : Sameer]

It's the turn of some 'Kaal Dhamaal' after a bunch of unconventional yet effective songs with the arrival of 'Soniye'. And as
