Imran Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ (EMAET) has scored major heights in overseas. Fighting the chilly conditions the UTV and Dharma Productions’ coming of age flick helmed by first timer Shakun Batra attracted maximum legs to the theatres which swelled from show to show giving a whooping opening of 67,465 GBP, thus making it Imran’s best score in the overseas market till date.

Imran has beaten his own record of 66.31 set by ‘I Hate Luv Storys’. Ranbir’s Rockstar was 57 K and ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ 42.

The movie has also fared well in North America with an approx USD 200 K. ‘Delhi Belly’ was USD 170 K day one.

In gulf also Imran his heading towards his best trophy with EMAET showing solid figures of 313, 778 USD with 12 more screens yet to report.

Imran previous starrers ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ was USD 354 K and ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ 288 K

In Australia too EMAET was super strong with $ 26.9 K. ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ was 20 K, ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ was 16.6 K and Delhi Belly 30 K.

In the home land India, EMAET has collected 21crores net in the weekend. The figures appear more sweet and happy considering the fact that the movie took a dull start but picked up by positive word of mouth as the target audience – the young at hearts in metros lapped it up.

With the festival of Love, Valentine’s Day, round the corner EMAET – the breezy, feel good, coming of age flick is likely to cash in on its box office glory to write another success story for UTV, Dharma, Imran, Kareena and all those concerned.
