The script of 'Mariyadhai' is so strongly woven that made me halt my own production venture ‘Virudhagiri’ to act in this film, preens Vijayakanth.

Speaking at the launch of the movie in Chennai on Thursday, he said that director Vikraman, who earlier roped in actors after completing the script, had penned the story of ‘Mariyadhai’ exclusively for him.

'Unlike our earlier venture ‘Vanathai Pola’, there are stunt sequences in ‘Mariyadhai’. At the same time, the film is a family subject quite similar to ‘Vanathai Pola’. I am sharing screen space with three heroines- Ambika, Meena and Meera Jasmine,' added Vijayakanth. The film is produced by T Siva of Amma Creations.
