Team ‘The Dirty Picture’ is leaving no stones unturned… Each time the production house, Balaji, comes up with the most innovative and clutter-breaking ways of promoting the film - which stars Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah and Tusshar Kapoor in lead.

Yesterday for the first time ever a film promotion took place at the Parliament in Delhi, where Emraan held a media interaction outside the political house. Talking about their hatke promotion idea, the actor stated, “It an unusual way to promote the film. I am here at the Parliament. We have exhausted all other ways of film promotion.” Since Parliament is an important place where several issues are discussed, the team felt that they will come and lighten up the mood there, added the actor who plays a budding director in ‘The Dirty Picture’.

Given that Emraan was mobbed a few weeks back in Delhi while shooting for a Mukesh Bhatt production, the organisers were expecting mass hysteria and so had made appropriate security arrangements before hand.

Rubbishing that ‘The Dirty Picture’ is based on south oomph actress Silk Smitha, Emraan remarked, "It is not a movie about Silk Smitha. It has a character called Silk. We took this name for Silk Smitha was the quintessential item icon of the day. It is a fictitious movie about the the south film industry of the 80s." According to him, ‘The Dirty Picture’ is just the film for the fun-loving north-wallahs who want entertainment, entertainment and entertainment.

Directed by Milan Luthria, ‘The Dirty Picture’ releases on 2nd December 2011.
