Enakae Enaka

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Tamil Comments

Teen romance is the in thing now. Spice team entertainment's produces Enakae Enaka with Arman, Annandhi, Manichandana, Karunas, Charlie, Devan, Rajan P Dev, Ponnambalam, Delhi Ganesh and Vyapuri, Shivraj who directed `Adi thadi' the Sathyaraj starrer which gave the actor a fresh lease of life is directing this teen romance.

The film's hero feels that love should happen at first sight. Among the two girls one feels that love can be got from anyone including one's own parents and will marry anyone her parent's suggest while the second girl feels that one should first be friends and then later lovers. The three young persons with conflicting views and their lives getting intermingled form the subject of the film.

Says the director "In Adi thadi I had budget limitations but here I had no such restrictions. I went and shot for 20 days in London. If Adi Thadi is a commercial entertainer then this film is 100% more. I have put in all elements to lure the family audience who stayed away from Adi Thadi". Like all directors who are donning the greasepaint here too the director plays the baddie. The reason is not to carve out a career as an actor. " I was standing puzzled because a big actor was signed to play the baddie role did not turn up. At that time producer Sandeep told me to put on the makeup and do the role. I took a look at the mirror and decided that I did fit the bill" explains Shivraj. With a huge budget at his disposal the director could have signed any leading hero and heroine but the reason he gave for choosing newcomers was interesting."My first film was with Sathyaraj. I signed him because he suited the role and not because he was free. Similarly this film too needs new faces" was Shivraj's explanation. Music by M Sharan, cinematography by K S Shiva, editing by BS Vasu-Salim, art by M Shivyadav, stunt by Jaquar Thangam, choreography by Ravi yadav, Swarna and Baba Yadav are the other credits
