It is now confirmed. After several delays, Karthik-Prabhu starrer Kusthi would finally release on 23 July (this week-end).

Prabhu and Kartik were once a successful pair rendering hit films like Urimai Geetham and Agninakshatram. They came together for a movie titled Kusthi almost a year ago.

While Prabhu is paired with Manya, Kartik is paired with Flora (she was paired with Vijaykanth in Gajendra). Directed by Raj Kapoor and produced by Sri Sundari Films, the movie was completed long ago. Yet due to financial constraints, the producer could not release the movie. Tipped for a release almost a couple of months ago, the movie could not make it to theatres and was lying in the cans. The good news is that finally all decks have been cleared for the movie's release. Sources say Kusthi would make it to the cinema halls this week-end.

The film has huge starcast including Vijaykumar, Manobala, Chitra Lakshmanan, Y G Mahendran, Vadivelu, Radharavi, Ilavarasu, Chitty Babu, Mahanadi Shanker, Pallavi, Latha, Sabita Anand and Madan Bob.

'It will be out and out a comedy, with Prabhu and Kartik livening up the scenes,' says Raj Kapoor.

The film has cinematography by Balamurugan, editing by V T Vijayan, set design by Jana, music by Imman and stunt choreography by Dhalapathy Dinesh.
