The film was launched on May 9, exactly a month ago. Today, marking the eve of Balakrishna's birthday (which is tomorrow) the makers have released the first look poster of the film. What is new about the first look? First things first, Balayya's look, of course.

How is he different? Yes, he is at his intense self. He is at his serious best, he is dignified. But the kind of intensity is different from what he exuded as Samarasimha Reddy, Narasimha Naidu or Legend. On a closer look, one sees Balakrishna is royally 'Lion'-like, putting up a subdued ferocity.

At war, he is out to eliminate his enemies. His gaze speaks volumes. That's the Krish-fied Balayya for you. The caption, 'An Unsung Story of India's Greatest Warrior Emperor', says it all. Krish's task is cut out. The project's ambitious scale deserves kudos at the outset.

The fluttering saffron flags and the royal emblem on them, announce the arrival of a noteworthy historical.

And last but not the least, Happy Birthday, 'Basavaramataraka-putra' Balakrishna!
