Disney UTV’s ‘Fitoor’, which also stars Rekha in lead, is a screen adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel ‘Great Expectations’. ‘Fitoor’ will be directed by Abhishek Kapoor, who also did the script along with Supratik Sen.
The film will see Aditya Roy Kapur playing ‘Pip’, Katrina Kaif as ‘Estella' and Rekha in the pivotal role of 'Miss Havisham'.
Set against the backdrop of North India, including Delhi and Kashmir, ‘Fitoor’ revolves Noor (Aditya), a Kashmiri, his love Firdaus (Katrina) and moody Begum (Rekha). The film also shifts to overseas locations in the course of the story. Each one is a catalyst, but at the same time, a puppet in destiny's hand, quoted a source from the film.
