Flying high, literally

Revathy is a multi-faceted personality who has performed variety of roles before donning the cap of director and a producer.

Be it a bubbly young girl in Punnagai Mannan, a mentally challenged girl in Killukam or a loving and a caring mother in Anjali, she always left the audience applaud her performance. Taking to direction, her films like Mitr: My Friend and Phir Milenge won her high acclaims.

Now, it's the role of a daredevil in real life. An adventurous Revathy, attempted solo static line-jump at the Sulur Air Force Station in Coimbatore recently. She jumped off an MI8 helicopter from a height of 4,000 feet on a Ram Air parachute.

On the experience, Revathy says, 'Being an Army officer's daughter, the streaks of adventure were there. But skydiving is something I never thought I would do even in my wildest dreams.'

Getting back to her career, Revathy says she wants to stop doing character artiste roles. 'I am working on a new script in Hindi and hopefully shooting should begin this April.'
