It is a big battle ground in the box office of Kannada cinema. Four prominent films – Veera Parampare, Yaksha, Gana Bhajana and Gundragovi – with budget ranging from Rs.2 crores to Rs.5 crores are in stiff competition prior to Deepavali festival. For 5th November three more films are lined up, it is learnt.

The fantastic collector super power star Puneeth Rajakumar ‘Jackie’, moderate ‘Kichcha Huchcha’ enters the third week as another winner for this year ‘Pancharangi’ completing 50 days is standing pretty good in the box office.

Cheluvambika Films’ Smt Bhagyavathi presents ‘Veera Parampare’ by multifaceted director S Narayan is the biggest crop of his career of two decades in cinema as director, actor and producer. The two stalwarts names - Ambarish and Sudeep itself has created magnificent name for the producer. Aindrita Ray plays the female lead with Sharan, Vijayalakshmi Singh, Sudeep Dho in the supporting roles.

The presence of Nana Patekar in ‘Yaksha’, a film by ‘Dhuniya’ fame producer TP Siddaraju starring his son, the young sensation today in Kannada cinema Yogish as hero is releasing a day earlier on Thursday. The real fire on silver screen sets in the second half of this film for 27 minutes by the presence of Nana Patekar. Atul Kulkarni is the rabble rouser.

TP Siddaraju after Dhuniya has taken up this film for his star son Yogish. Rubi is Yogish’s counterpart. Newcomer Ramesh Bhagavath is the director. Anoop Seelin has scored the music and Chandrasekhar is the cameraman.

The makers of moderate hit ‘Love Guru’- siblings Naveen as producer and Prashanthraj as director ‘Gana Bajana’ is another film of the week that gathered good attention for the songs part in the film. Tarun, Radhika Pandit, Dilipraj are in the prominent roles. Joshua Sridhar is handling the music and Shekar is the cameraman. Nim Cinema’s second venture is no doubt a stylish attempt.

Yet another film of the week is ‘Gundragovi’ that has created good news in the film industry for its brisk pace and stunning narration. There is very good talk on the making of this film and songs. Newbie Gopalakrishna is the producer. Sathya a terrific actor on stage and films is turning hero from this film with Navyasri as heroine. Tharesh Raj has directed this film and Phoenix Raja has scored the music. Niranjan Babu is the cameraman.
