The battle lines are drawn as 'Neethane En Ponvasantham' and 'Kumki' are hitting the screens amid huge expectations.

While the former directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon has Jiiva and Samantha in lead roles, the latter directed by Prabhu Solomon has Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon in the lead.

'NEP' is a love story set in the urban backdrop, while the story of 'Kumki' takes place inside a deep jungle.

Both the films have generated big buzz due to their cast & crew and huge promotions.

Music forms the backbone of these films, among other things. Maestro Ilayaraja's song for 'NEP'and Imman's songs in 'Kumki' are already topping the charts.
