Divya Spandana (formerly known as Ramya) is getting more offers to act in Tamil after the success of ‘Polladhavan’. While her ‘Thoondil’, committed before ‘Polladhavan’, is ready for release, she has been booked for ‘Varanam Aayiram’ as one of the two heroines.

The significant aspect in ‘Varanam Aayiram’ is that she is appearing as a 14 years old girl in the film. The character grows along with the film and reaches the age of 25. Special make-up was required for the get up of the teenage girl, informs Divya.

On acting with Suriya, Divya says that she was afraid of him before meeting him. Now she is quite relieved, as Suriya is a “very friendly person to move with”.

Divya, looking forward to ‘Thoondil’ and ‘Varanam Aayiram’, is now concentrating more on Tamil films than Kannada films.
