Though actor-turned-politician M G Ramachandran passed away quite a long time ago, his charisma is still doing magic. Several political parties have come up with his name and fame and quite a lot of actors tried to mime him to attain stardom.

Two decades after his demise, a movie is now being churned out in Kollywood titled Idhu MGR Illam. Raj Kiran will play the lead role in the movie.

Thanks to success in movies like Sandai Kozhi and Thavamai Thavamirundu, Raj Kiran has managed to leave an impression among the film buffs.

V C Guganathan would be directing the film, which is reportedly an inspiration of a Telugu movie Naidugaru Kudumbam.

The director denies rumors that it is a biography of MGR. It is an inspiration of MGR's popularity in political and public life.
