GVP lauds Valarmathi for asphyxiating Goondas Act

Valarmathi a second year journalism student who participated in the Kathiramangalam oil pipeline protests was arrested and jailed by the cops enforcing the Goondas act and terming her a Maoist sympathizer.

The Chennai High Court today cancelled Valarmathi's detention under the Goondas Act and she has been received with overwhelming response from celebrities and the general public.  G. V. Prakash Kumar known for his active participation in social issues has stated that "Sister Valarmathi who asphyxiated the Goondas act is coming out as the world’s pride".
