Promoting films in a unique manner at all levels, be it to the press or audience, has become the fad of the day. Or do we say the need of the day, what with the different attempts by each banner and filmmaker to make their brainchild stand out.

'Gandhi Kanakku' is an upcoming film that has joined this bandwagon. The film features actor Ramana in the lead role, and as the title suggests, he plays a Gandhian who fights away evil and goons in a Gandhian sort of way. Quite a different attempt at a time when commercial entertainers with actors who fight away many baddies at one go.

Wielding the megaphone for the film is debutant Sampath Arumugham and Richa Sinha, a Hindi actress will foray into Tamil films through this venture.

The audio launch was held recently and graced by film celebs.

The media invite for this film was something that caught the attention of one all, designed in the lines of a bank's welcome kit, they named themselves as the OCOC bank and everything about the kit was well-done with attention paid to minute details like the address, that had an address that appears in a popular Parthipan - Vadivelu joke.

In a form where one usually fills up their details in a bank to open the account, the team had provided the details on the cast and crew of the film. They had also come up with a poster of the protagonist in a manner of an introduction form and a mock debut-cum-ATM card of 'Gandhi Kanakku'.

This novel attempt is definitely something that needs appreciation, take a look at some of the stills and post your feedback on this unique venture…
