Remember Gauthaman, who directed and played the lead role in 'Magizhchi', a film inspired by one of the much celebrated novels of Tamil, 'Thalaimuraigal', penned by Neela Padmanabhan. Now the filmmaker is ready for his new project.

Titled 'Peranbu', the movie will be produced by Manivannnan, who had produced 'Magizchi' earlier. The producer will join hands with KM Ramachandran for 'Peranbu', which will have Gauthaman playing the lead role again. Music is by Vidyasagar.

Ace Tamil writer Jayamohan will pen the dialogues, while lyrics will be penned by Arivumathi, Vairamuthu and Pachaiappan. Besides direction and acting, Gauthaman will also take care of story and screenplay departments, it is learnt.

Says Gauthaman, "We have not yet decided on the heroine. The script will be a mix of love and conflict. It is based on a real life incident that happened some time back in Tamil Nadu. My focus will always be on this land and its people. There are lot of stories to be told."
