Genelia impressed the directors with her performance in 'Bommarillu' that the film was remade with her playing the lead female in Tamil too. This film titled 'Santosh Subramanyam' is running successfully in theaters across the state with good collection at the box office. In the Telugu version it was Siddharth who played the male lead and in Tamil it was 'Jayam' Ravi.

Reports are now doing the rides that Genelia has been offered to play the same role in this film's Hindi remake. Now that, we think, is a record of sorts because she gets to play the same role in remake films in three different languages. It is believed that Boney Kapoor has got the rights to remake the film in Hindi.

The Hindi version that is yet untitled will be directed by Anees Bazmi and Harman Baweja who will be making his debut as hero in Bollywood with 'Lovestory 2050', that has not yet been released, will be the hero of this film. Insiders indicate that the heroine herself has confirmed her presence in the film which will begin its shoot in a short while from now.
