Director A R Murugadoss has begun Ghajini starring Surya and Asin.

The director who shot to fame directing movies like Ramana and Dheena, says, "the movie is all about a hero who fights evil forces who look up on women as slaves. He fails several times in his attempts to teach such men a lesson. After several attempts, he finally succeeds in his mission. I felt Ghajini would be an appropriate title that would suit the movie".

Murugadoss says the power of the medium is enormous. It can be used for two purposes. "A movie on women empowerment, but narrated in a entertaining way. I know very well that cinema is not just a medium of message but also medium to entertain."
