God Tussi Great Ho

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Hindi Comments

Ever thought how the God will be managing the billions of complaints, needs and wishes of the people from around the world and even if we believe completely that it's the almighty who makes us the right decisions at the right time for all the humans in the world, how he must be doing it.

For every believer in the notion of the existence of god as the unseen force who controls life and destinies, it is not only the thankfulness and spirituality that comes up in the mind when long cherished dreams and aspirations become true.

In the time of despair, when everything seems to go wrong and life becomes a big canvas of lost opportunities and despair, for a lot of people god is the last person towards whom the blame is to be shifted and the lord becomes an emotional punching bag.

Salman Khan in the role of Arun Prajapati does exactly the same thing.
He blames God for anything and everything that happens in his life which makes his existence more miserable.

He one day lets out a desperate cry to God asking him why he is so unlucky each and every other time he tries to make his life better and why he has lost his job and finally ends up in blaming the ultimate creator for all of his bad luck in life.

The God does not make his life any better, but instead gives all his divine powers to the character played by Salman and asks him to make his own life better by using the new found powers.

Arun Prajapati is too innocent to think that the capability to do miracles and create wonders is all that is needed to make the world a much better place to live in.

He goes on to grant everyone who needs his help wishes to solve their problems.

But after sometime he finds out that all the wishes he has given has only done more damage to the already existing problems, things have got more complicated and are in a deep mess.

The movie ends up in the leading man realizing that being god and carrying out his responsibilities are impossible and becoming the almighty is tougher than what he thought.

Given his one of a kind authoritative, bass soaked voice, towering physical personality and the respect he commands in the whole industry as well as among the film lovers across India, who else is capable enough of giving the right and accurate feel of the character of the supreme power in 'God Tussi Great Ho' than Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.

So here we have Big B, the suit wearing God who descends in front of the hero in the modern times granting the hero exclusive powers that eventually results in some new experiences that changes his attitude for ever.

Priyanka Chopra plays the role of the intelligent and smart girl called Alia Kapoor who despite Arun being a failure gets attracted to him seeing his good and pure child like mind.

Rocky is the other guy whose is in the trail of Alia. Played by Sohail Khan, he is the handsome, impressive, highly successfully and cunning man who has just returned from London.

He makes sure that he gets what he wants by either hook or by crook.

The way how he accomplishes his wishes does not have any importance to him. Only the final goal or target matters.
