Gopika is happy to don the role of a teacher in Sundar C's Veeraappu. The movie, a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Spatikam, is being directed by Badri, a one-time associate of Sundar C.
Says Gopika, ÂInitially, I was offered the role of a teacher in Thangar Bachan's Pallikoodam. Unfortunately, I could not take up the role. Now I am happy that I have got an opportunity to play the role of a teacher in Veeraappu.Â
Interestingly, Gopika plays a de-glamorized role and appears in a saree all through the film.
Gopika is thrilled since her career has touched a new high in Malayalam following a huge success in Mayavi, in which she had acted opposite Mammootty.
