Goundamani had been living in his own house in Cenotaph road, Teynampet, Chennai. Now the veteran comedian has shifted his base to his birthplace, Konagampalayam in Coimbattur.

The comedian was looking forward for more chances till now and pinned his hopes on Jaggubhai’s release. But sadly he was not able to take any offers that came to him recently because of his illness. Sources close to the comedian say that he is suffering with diabetics and can’t afford to work like before. Once it happened that the actor wounded his leg while the shooting of ‘Jaggubhai’ and had a tough time getting it normal.

Though Goundamani is far from cine activities for sometime now, his hilarious speech in FEFSI meeting was simply great and was enjoyed by all. Even though the actor is back to his birthplace, he never forgets to call two people everyday. One is Sathyaraj and the other is our Superstar Rajinikanth.
