Governor C.Vidyasagar Rao is presently stationed in Mumbai. He is the common Governor for Tamil Nadu and Maharasthra states. He has to reach Chennai to enable V.K.Sasikala to take over the reins of the Tamil Nadu Government as the Chief Minister.

Sasikala is having the support of all elected MLAs of the ruling AIADMK party and the arrangements for her swearing in ceremony has already begun. On Monday it was said that the said ritual will happen today but that did not happen as the Governor could not return today and there was no clarity on when he will be returning to Chennai.

But now putting an end to speculations, the Governor's PRO Umesh has informed that Governor will return to Chennai today or tomorrow evening. Once the Governor returns he is expected to invite the Chief Ministerial candidate Sasikala to form the new government with the new council of ministers as per the norm.
