The trailer of YRF's upcoming film 'Gunday' turned out to be a great treat - with the promo promising the film to be a racy drama blended with electrifying performance by the young lead heroes - Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor. The teaser indeed created a lot of noise and has had a positive impact.

While the film is slated to release during the season of love, that is, 14th Feb (Valentine's Day), latest update is that 'Gunday' will hit the Bengal cinema halls in its local dialect. Yes, the film is said to release in Bengali - speciall dubbed for the fans in West Bengal.

Since the film is set against the old era of Calcutta (now Kolkata) and it has been shot extensively in Calcutta and Bengal, the makers felt it apt to release 'Gunday' in Bengali there.

Confirmed a source close to Gunday, "The film is set during Calcutta’s most turbulent times of the 70’s and this is at the soul of the film with the characters seeped in the culture of that time. Consequently, the plans for releasing the film also in Bengali was finalised at the pre-production stage."

YRF plans to release the teaser poster and teaser trailer in Bengali this week.

'Gunday' has another strong Bengali connect as Bapi da has given music and this is the first time that YRF and Bapi da have come together.

Also starring Irfan Khan and Priyanka Chopra in lead, 'Gunday' is one of the big releases of next year.
