Guru RGV In The Battlefield With Disciple

IndiaGlitz [Thursday, November 07, 2013]

Ram Gopal Varma has grown as a Dronacharya to many Ekalavyas in Telugu state. Ever since he blasted his way into the TFI with 'Siva', the number of direction aspirants has outgrown that of appearing on screen. A remarkable feat indeed. But there have been many Arjunas also for Guru RGV who worked directly under him and came out to direct films and make strong marks of their own. Starting from Krishna Vamsi, Puri Jagannath, Anurag Kashyap, Harish Shankar, JD Chakravarthy, Ramana besides many others.

This year, we already had Jeevan Reddy making his debut with 'Dalam' and on the 8th November, one more name will add to the list of disciples of RGV and that is Sri Praveen who is making his debut with 'Kali Charan' a period saga starring Chaitanya Krishna and Chandini.

The movie has already created buzz with its raw look and feel on the social media but what makes it more interesting is the timing of the release. Also releasing on 8th November is Guru RGV's film 'Satya 2', the sequel to his iconic 1998 JD - Manoj Bajpai starrer 'Satya'. While 'Kali Charan' is done by a new and unknown director who has nothing to claim but being RGV's protégé, 'Satya' brings a huge baggage with itself.

So, it will be interesting to see the contest between the Guru and disciple.
