After 'Saawariya', Sanjay Leela Bhansali has now delivered another box office debacle in the form of 'Guzaarish'. A disaster, 'Guzaarish' would at least be a respected failure, what with those who have watched the film appreciating it for it's worth. However, all that could have gone wrong with the film went wrong as right from the film's title to its setting to its music to its promotion found detractors at every nook and corner. Result? Not many stepped in to watch the film and even the word of mouth didn't quite turn fantastical enough for this Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai starrer to turn things around.

With a mere 22 crores coming in at the end of first week, the film is all set to fold up around 30 crores. Though the collections would be marginally better than 'Saawariya', they are far lesser than approximate 50 crores that 'Kites' had enjoyed (and was still presented with a 'flop' tag). All of this means that 2010 will go down as a forgettable year for Hrithik Roshan who now has two major turkeys in his kitty in a single year. However, he would be content with the fact that he would be vying for awards at the highest level for his brilliant and career best performance till date in 'Guzaarish'.

As for Aishwarya Rai, she would well have contemplated forgetting 2010 if not for the blockbuster success of 'Endhiran'/'Robot'. Otherwise flops like 'Raavan', 'Action Replayy' and 'Guzaarish' pretty much tell a tale about her box office standing.

Two other films that released along with 'Guzaarish' couldn't even manage a full week in theaters. Both 'Shahrukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu' and 'Deewangee Ne Had Kar Di' are colossal disasters and their combined collections too aren't worthy enough to be written home about.

Meanwhile, 'Golmaal 3' has now crossed 100 crores at the box office, hence joining the ranks of '3 Idiots' (200 crores), 'Dabangg' (140 crores) and 'Ghajini' (115 crores). A blockbuster, it only makes one looks forward to 'Golmaal 4' only crossing bigger milestones in years to come.
