The highly respected and talented music director Hamsalekha on his 59th birthday celebrated the first year completion of Hamsalekha Desi College, completion of the film ‘Bhagavathi Kadu’ and released the magazine ‘Desi Samskruthi’ at Yashodhara Hall on Modi Hospital Road in Bangalore on Wednesday.

The traditional Karaga, Somana Kunitha and Dollu Kunitha with a mixture of drum beats greeted the guests on this occasion. Forty students of first year Bachelor in Performing Arts and Diploma in Performing arts of ‘Hamsalekha Desi College’ (that has Dravidian University recognition) conducted the evening show with great aplomb.

Releasing the inaugural issue of ‘Desi Samkrithi’ magazine MLA Narendra Babu said giving education and confidence for life is the hallmark of Hamsalekha Desi College.

In his inaugural address the birthday man Hamsalekha stated four off beat films from the students of students of Desi College and four commercial films are in the agenda of HIPL. It will be a film making factory felt Hamsalekha. Besides this ‘Bhagavathi Kaadu’ on the lines of Prof Baraguru Ramachandrappa ‘Samudayadattha Cinema’ three hours program will be staged for 100 times that relate to significance of environment and technology in the society.

Director of ‘Bhagavathi Kadu’ Shivarudraiah, Alankar and Jayaprakash of Hamsalekha Images Private Limited, Basavalingaiah, Prof SG Siddaramaiah, Dr KY Narayan were present at the triple function.
