Venkat Prabhu's next film, Biriyani has been under the media radar for some time now. The director has recently been busy shooting his TV show, Kollywood King which is now being shown every week on Vijay TV. Now, the team is apparently all set to begin working on their project after freeing up everybody's schedules.

The crew, along with Venkat Prabhu, has started their test shooting today. An interesting turn up is that Hansika has been confirmed as the heroine for the Karthi starrer. The actress has currently wrapped up shooting for Settai, her film with Arya and will be part of the first schedule of Biriyani. Sources suggest that the first day involved the test shot of a song and the rest of the plan will pan out over the next few weeks.

Looks like we can expect Biriyani to hit screens soon after all!
