It has just been four years since Naga Chaitanya debuted in Josh. Though the Akkineni scion, who had a legacy to live up to, could not make it in his first attempt, he proved that he can be an understated performer of mettle in Ye Maya Chesave. That film, directed by Gautham Menon, changed the audience perception of the budding actor significantly.

Lady luck smiled at him for the second time when Sukumar game him the self-obsessed, snobbish college boy role in 100% Love. Chai, this time, exceeded the expectations and delivered yet another studied act in the campus story. The audience found that he had improved on a lot of counts - be it expression, dancing or comedy.

A disappointment came to him in the form of Dhada, which, by any standards, was a dud. In what may be called a double whammy, he delivered another dud, namely Bejawada, in the same year.

As an actor, Chai wants to explore and experiment a lot, as he submitted in his interview to IndiaGlitz last year. This is the reason why Auto Nagar Surya, set to release in January or February next, is so special for him.

After that, we will be treated to the unique action-comedy film directed by Kishore Kumar, which is a remake of Vettai. This role offers him a chance to prove his acting prowess, along with Sunil by his side.

Next year, he has a film lined up with Srinivas Reddy. Stardom doesn't come easily and so, Chai has a long way to go before he can claim to be his father’s worthy legatee. The good news is that he has shown the innate potential.

IndiaGlitz wishes Naga Chaitanya all the best and a delightful year ahead!
