Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is one of those actors, who attracts respect from everyone with their behaviour. Though he is the grandson of Legendary actor Late NTR, he never shows that pride and always behaves down to earth.

Though his brother, Jr.NTR enjoys more stardom than him, he never envies him and one statement says how humble Kalyan Ram is. When asked if he feels sad that his brother is in a higher position than him, Kalyan Ram said "We want our family's legacy to be continued. I don't bother if it is me or my brother, NTR who does it. I am always proud of brother's achievements".

He is successful not only as an actor, but also as a good producer. He introduced some very good directors in his NTR Arts banner. One of those producers introduced by Kalyan Ram is Surender Reddy. This director is being considered as one of the best directors in Tollywood now. Kalyan Ram is also going to introduce writer Vakkantham Vamsi as director in his banner, which stars NTR in the lead. He is also going to produce a film in the combination of 'Kick' combo Ravi Teja and Surender Reddy.

As an actor, he is busy with two films at present. He is acting in the film, 'Pataas', which is going to be debut of writer Anil Raavipudi as a director. Kalyan Ram is also the producer of this film. He is also acting in the film, 'Sher', which is being directed by Mallikharjun, who has worked with Kalyan Ram for the films, 'Abhimanyu' and 'Kalyan Ram Kathi'.
